Echocardiographic patterns of pulmonic valve motion with pulmonary hypertension.

چکیده
Echocardiographic tracings of the pulmonic valve were examined in two groups of patients. The first group contained 24 normal patients. The second group consisted of 32 patients with pulmonary hypertension (mean pulmonary artery pressure .20 mm Hg). Parameters considered included presence or absence and depth of the "a" wave, amplitude of valve opening (b-c separation), diastolic (e-f) slope, and presence

Tricuspid and pulmonic valve echoes in tricuspid and pulmonary atresia.
An echocardiographic pattern of normal tricuspid valve motion in a patient with tricuspid atresia, and pulmonic valve motion in a patient with transposition of the great vessels and pulmonary atresia were documented. The recordings of the valve motion resulted in an initial erroneous diagnosis. Although M-mode echocardiography is very useful for the initial diagnostic evaluation of critically i...
متن کاملEchocardiographic features of atrial septal defect.
Echocardiographic studies were performed on 39 adult patients with atrial septal defects. Findings were compared with those from normal subjects, patients with other congenital left-to-right shunts (ventricular septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus), patients with uncomplicated right ventricular pressure overload (pulmonic stenosis and pulmonary hypertension), and patients with pulmonary h...
متن کاملPremature pulmonic valve opening following sinus of Valsalva aneurysm rupture into the right atrium.
Echocardiographic features of a patient with sinus of Valsalva aneurysm rupture into the right atrium are described. The aneurysm presented as a dense echo-producing mass in the right atrium which descended into the tricuspid orifice during diastole and withdrew back into the atrium during ventricular systole. Pulmonic valve exho motion demonstrated early diastolic pulmonic valve opening indica...
متن کاملRole of Transthoracic Echocardiography in the Evaluation of Patients with Retinal Vein Occlusion
Introduction: Retinal vein occlusion is a common vascular disorder disrupting vision. Two basic types of RVO are branch retinal vein occlusion and central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Retinal vein occlusion is a multifactor process including systemic illness and local retinal factors.RVO may be associated with atherosclerotic risk factors. We analyzed the role of 2 dimensional transthor...
متن کاملPulmonary valve echo motion in pulmonary regurgitation.
Four cases are presented to illustrate the echo patterns of pulmonary valve motion in patients with pulmonary regurgitation caused by pulmonary hypertension, idiopathic dilatation of the pulmonary artery, or congenital absence of the pulmonary valve or in association with pulmonary stenosis. Absence of the pulmonary 'a' wave, fluttering of the e-f slope, and midsystolic closure or 'notching' of...
